This is the said "tree-bush" on its side. I would like to note that Ryan is just over 6 feet and the tree is wider than he is tall, and it is lying down, slightly smushed!

We have had a family tradition for years that we go up to the mountains by Mt. Pleasant to a tree farm and take our saw, hunting for the perfect tree. It is a whole family event and we all go, even though none of us get a tree besides my parents. We hopped into E's truck and our van (Uncle Ry-Ry treid to sit on Hailey and she pushed him off!) My parents have a vaulted ceiling and always want to get the tallest tree possible, well in order to get one that is that tall, it also has to be very wide...this year my SIL, Heather and I were joking about how it is a Christmas bush! We even started singing"O,Christmas Bush! O,Christmas Bush!" in honor of the tree-bush. Hailey loved running up and down the hills all over! I was glad to have put on her boots, they were so muddy! Uncle E tried to teach her to say "Timber!" when a tree fell over, but instead she said "Tambourine!" :) She also loved to jump over the trees, only the little ones and with help of course.
We got the best tree and luckily it barely fit in the house! (it took a lot of coaxing--AKA pushing to get it in!) It smells wonderful and makes me wish that we had a real one, that is until I watched my dad trying to even get the dang thing to stand up, it fell over on him and he had to go out and buy a new, bigger tree stand. Then getting the lights on with all of those pokey needles causing red dots to beak out on your hands and arms...then you have to take the lights off and get it out of the house. Not to mention all the needles that fall onto the floor and clog up the vacuum! We had our tree set up and lit (because it is pre-lit) in about 15 minutes. Preston has already rolled over under it and tried to bite the power cord and loves to bat at the ornaments and coo at the lights. Hailey likes all the ornaments that are down on her level (we put the non-breakable ones at the bottom) and I find that I am constantly picking them up and re-decorating the tree, but for now it is worth it. I love the Christmas season and the magic is still posesses for me.

That must be a HUGE tree! We aren't doing a tree either. We put up some decorations last night, but we're going to be at my family's house for several weeks. So I'm excited to see my parents' tree! Christmas is great. :)
