Christmas Advent Calendar

I got this idea from one of Dave's cousins and I loved it! I adapted it to fit our family, but thought that I would pass this on, it is too cute and I am always looking for new ideas of fun things to do with the kids to put us all in the Christmas spirit and get them more excited for the holiday. Also as a way to set this season apart as something special. We made snowflakes this morning and Hailey really liked it. I printed the list out and hung it on the fridge so we can check them off as we do them. I hope you can enjoy it too!

Christmas Advent Calendar:
o Make Paper snowflakes
o Dance to Christmas music
o Watch Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer
o Watch the Bountiful Light Parade (1st Friday in Dec)
o Read Christmas books to the kids
o Make Christmas cards for friends and family
o Watch the Prophet's Christmas message(Sunday Dec 6th)
o Make a paper chain for the tree
o Bake sugar cookies
o Visit the lights on Temple Square
o Drink hot chocolate
o Go see the elves at Gardner Village
o Watch the Grinch
o Drive through Christmas lights
o Buy a toy for 'toys for tots'
o Wrap presents
o Drink Eggnog
o Family game night
o Make a list of 10 things we're thankful for
o Go to the Bountiful Temple Christmas Displays
o Read the Christmas story from the Book of Mormon

That's a fun idea. I'll have to remember it in a few years when Jackson will know what's going on :)
