Happy Pops Day!

(he is going to kill me when he sees that I posted this pic of him sleeping on a bus in Asia! But look at that face? Gotta love him!!)

Ah, Father's Day...I must admit that I was a bit of a poopy wife! I got up early with the kids and made cinnamon rolls from scratch, a few hours later Dave got up and had a shower, I gave him the gifts I'd gotten him (you know exciting stuff, the Book of Mormon on CD) THEN it was over! I was going to try to give him a relaxing Dad's day, but it so didn't turn out that way. At church Presidnet Uchdorf came to visit (his daughter is in our ward). We were on the second row, right in front of him. Preston was all over us at church, he is at the age where he cannot sit still. After the RM's talk was topping 25 mins Dave and I dozed off to quickly jerk awake to see Preston crawling onto the stand! (that was embarassing!) Then, the ice cream maker died mid-mix and we had to run get one from a neighbor. I complained to Dave that Father's Day needs to be on a Monday so that I can still have a break on the weekend. (I want you all to know I have since asked forgiveness for my rotten attitude!) And on that note, Happy Father's Day honey!

Children's Museum

Play time is WONDERFUL! :)

Time with Dave seems to be scarce these days, so we try to make the most of it! The weekdays are crazy for him with 2 jobs, school, and homework....we don't get much time together. So inbetween his morning 6 hour service project and choir practice for Stake Conference we hit the Children's Museum with the Mosteller's. We had a great time together. The kids had a good time playing and running from each exhibit to the next. The pictures say it all! Thanks to the Mosteller's for a fun afternoon! :)

Hair bows

This week I got together with Megan, Erin (2 of my cousins) and my sister-in-law to make some hair bows for our girls. It was so fun and I know that I had a riot! In fact I kept all the stuff out and kept making them all week! It was super fun to make them and I love having a creative outlet as well as new cute things for Hailey's adorable hair! I think I ended up with 22 total and will not need to make our buy bows anytime soon. Oh, and can you tell that we love pink at our house? I looked in her closet before I went shopping for ribbon and flowers and everything was pink, so I made the bows to go with her outfits. Thanks Erin and Megs! Loved it!!

9th grade Lagoon Day

This is what happens while waiting in line...I was texting Dave and looked down to see her is the sun screen! She for sure won't get burned with SPF 50 globbed on her face!!

I remember going to Lagoon for my 9th grade year--the chaos, lines, heat, and screaming teenagers have deterred me from doing it again anytime soon...it is still the same all these years later! But the price was right this time... my Aunt , who is a teacher, got a free ticket including lucnch and wasn't going to use it. Since my mom was already there she called me and we met up. We didn't stay long, but it was fun for the kids. Preston's first ride was a bit scary for the rest of us. We took him on the ferris wheel and he wanted to pull himself up using the bars and look over the edge when we were at the very top! Thanks to my cousin, Kaylee, for wrangling him down with me!

Miraculous Mama!

Just thought you all could get an appreciation for the mane that I tame every morning. This is what it looks like, no ratting or anything, when she wakes up in the morning. And I turn it into...

... THIS!!!

I have to give credit to my new favorite blog, I steal her hair do's and adapt them to fit a 2 year olds head of curly hair. http://www.girlydohairstyles.com/

(You can't totally see her hair in this pic, but it turned out really cute!)

Hailey has decided that nap time is NOT for napping, it is for pulling everything out of her closet, toy box and anything else that is put away! The other day she stacked it up and used it as a mountain to climb onto her bed! (Note to reader:the toys are now mom's. She wouldn't clean them up the next day that she did the same thing, so they are in boxes in my room...she hasn't even noticed they are gone!)

Not that I am claiming miracles here with these pictures, but I always knew that my mom was a miracle worker and at times I see those mini-miracles that happen daily. As a missionary we were challenged to pray and seek for mini-miracles everday. It was amazing to me that they really did happen! When I was looking for them, those little coiencidences weren't really luck, they were all part of His masterful plan! And although they may be small, I know that the Lord gives me patience and sanity in the times when I so desperately need it. A phone call from a friend, a cute gift randomly dropped off on my doorstep, they are all little things that just make my day! I am so grateful for the two miracles the Lord entrusted me with, not sure that I am totally deserving of them, but I am grateful they are mine, for now. :)
