I don't want you all to think that we have won the lottery or have come into a windfall or anything like that! But after a year of school and doing odd jobs, it was nice to finally have a REAL PAYCHECK this week! Wahooo! We celebrated the special ocassion by giving Dave a dino cupcake (Hailey picked it out at the Bakery) with this note:

We think you are "dino"-mite! Thanks for bring us home some serious "bones"! We love you!

So looking forward to being able to save some money this summer instead of just spending it! It is the icing on the cake (no pun intended) to have the savings balance increase. It makes Dave being gone all the time, a little more tolerable! So now Fridays are the best, Dave only works 8 hours and he gets paid every other! YES!! (Never thought I'd be saying he "only works 8 hours" as a good thing!)

So happy! I know what you mean. When people would talk about making a budget with the money you make each month, I would think, that doesn't really work for you if you make less than your rent costs. Its more like trying to use the least amount of your savings as possible. It will all pay off in the end though. I'm glad there is a little peak in the middle.
oh I am so happy for you guys!!! I am looking forward to the day when we can actually have a savings with the number rising instead of either not having a number or having it dwindle too quickly!!! I love it for you guys! congrats to your man!:)
